Meet Dr. Alexzandria Washington

Dr. Alexzandria Washington is a licensed clinical psychologist and a board-certified behavior analyst with a passion for helping children, teens, and families thrive. With over 17 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Washington brings a wealth of knowledge and a caring, playful approach to her work.

Dr. Washington specializes in supporting children with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, ADHD, and language disorders. Her gentle and understanding approach makes her a great fit for children and teens, creating a space where they feel safe and supported while working through life’s challenges. Whether through psychological assessments or ABA therapy, Dr. Washington focuses on helping kids build important skills while giving parents practical tools to support their child’s growth.

She’s worked in many settings—private practice, schools, and the community—and she’s all about meeting families where they are. Dr. Washington’s playful and hands-on style fits right in at Mindful Play, where services are turned into a fun, interactive experience that helps kids learn and grow.

Favorite Toy:  Her favorite toy is the classic game of Uno, which she finds perfect for teaching strategy, turn-taking, and friendly competition. Dr. Washington believes that through play, children can learn important life skills while having fun, making therapy a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
